Sweet Potato Pie Imagery

1. The scene when Charley go asked about how his brother, Buddy was, and the student said he was the best teacher they ever had, and that was the most standing out scene of the story.
2. The particular's picture makes me happy, because it can shows the expression by the picture and it make the reader going to understand more in the story.
3. I got appealed in touch sense, vision sense, it tells the timeline of the story, she wants us to know how hard life of main character was like.
4. It will tells how the reader feels, and also it tells the meaning by its picture, so we can understand the story easier by the picture.

1. This story use 1st person point of view.
2. The advantages of chosen point of view for to use vocabulary easier and differently on each kind of point of views.
3. The narrator was reliable, she had experienced something that looks like in this story, so she wrote the book for us to read, and to not have a mistake as hers again. Narrator knew everything since she created everything in the story.

Sweet Potato Pie (Questionaires)


1. What is the story about? What are the main events in the story, and how are they related to each other?
Ans: Story was about a boy name Buddy that live with his poor family, he wants other people to acknowledge him, so he tried his best to make is goal become true.
2. Are the main events of the story arranged chronically, or are they arranged in another way?
Ans: The events were arranged in another way, that was his present day, and then the flashbacks.
3. How is the story narrated? Are flashbacks, summaries, stories within the story used?
Ans: This story named by main character's favorite dessert, they didn't used any thing.
4. Is the plot fast-paced or slow-paced?
Ans: The story was run fast-paced, it tell about his childhood about few paragraphs.
5. How do the thoughts, behaviors, and actions of characters move the plot forward?
Ans: Buddy was headstrong, so he keep working hard and he had became professor and everyone in school knew him.
6. What are the conflicts in the plot? Are they physical, intellectual, moral or emotional? Are they resolved? How are they resolved? Is the main conflict between good and evil sharply differentiated, or is it more subtle and complex?
Ans: The conflict was Buddy had to live alone after his parent died, it was intellectual, and emotional, it resolved by that he had worked hard and became the professor, the main conflict was subtle and complex, because he just want to achieve his dream.

Ans: Climax was that Buddy had became the professor, climax occur in relationship.

Ans:This plot had no unity, all the episodes are all relevant total meaning of the story, the incident naturally grow to the next.

Ans: It was a chance that main character had to find for it, the story was initiate by the main character itself, it was improbable that it up to the person to start and follow the goal they made.
