Huckleberry Finn Summary Chapter 12-22

After Huckle got caught by woman whom he thought he could trick, he had ran away and returned to where his raft was. Then he heard the bell say that it is already passed midnight, he was panicked and he woke Jim up and they quickly escaped from this island. And when they arrived at Jackson island, they had met a groups of men who are there and they knew that there was also somebody else because they saw Huckle's fire camp but they just don't know who. So these men were searching while Huckle and Jim were hiding. While they were hiding, they saw a man name Bill got killed by the gang. They hide in the cave, some hill, around the river rocks and they are scare because the men might find them and kill them.

A week passed by, the gang left and they were save. They found a wreck that the gang left behind so they took over their supplies such as lamps, wood, blankets, clothes, and a raft. And they made a plan that they would go to the Ohio River and then sail north and after that. they would get out of all this mess and be free again. Huckle and Jim could start new life over there. So they kept sailing north. They would only sail in the night time because they are afraid that somebody might see them. SO in the day, they would either go find food or sleep the whole day because they need energy for night time. Sometime they met thick fog and they can't continue so they would take a nap and waited for the fog to disappear so that they could continue.

Most of time, when they were sailing, they got nothing to do so they would talk about theirs future when they arrived at the free state and become a free man. Huckle said that he would go work and be a good person and Jim said that he will work hard and become very rich and he will buy his own wife and house and they will have two children and it will be a happy ending. Sometime, they saw a house with people inside so they went inside that house and found a man and he asked him inside. Insider there, was many people and he made a new friend name Buckand he convinced Huckle to live with them so Huckle lived there about couple weeks but after that Huckle found out that the gang that Huckle once met was also here so he tried to avoid them but while Buck and Huckle were walking one day, Buck got shot and he died. Huckle was very depressed and afraid so he ran away with Jim again.

While they ran away, they met many people and most of them were finding a nigger slave that had escaped because there were a price for his head, so now they were escaping all the time and now they were escaping and hiding all time and now most of the people were suspecting Jim as the runaway nigger so they tried to catch Jim but a duke came to save them. After that they were serving the duke because they need to pay their debt back. But Huckle and Jim were fine because they were save. And the duke sent them to the king and they also serve the king. They got to advertise things for the king like the mail boys. They make poster and promote plays for the king so that the people could go and watch the play. But the people need to pay as well.
